I don't see a specific 1 cell rotor listed for the D3 yet, I see DUO and Nemesis ones, but nothing for the D3. (Just got this list on Thursday, so I hope its close to up to date.)

I have tried emailing Epic, but as most people that have tried that already know, I got no response.
This new DUO3 sounds exciting and I am tempted to get one, but the non existing after sale service at Team Epic makes me wonder.

What does the 1S rotor do vs the standard 2S rotor? Is the 1S rotor stronger? Can you run the 1s rotor with a 2S battery pack?

The 1s rotor is actually a weaker materal so that as the run goes on and the 1s battery voltage reduces the motor does not have to overcome as much magnetic strength to maintain speed. Again this is due to the limited voltage of a 1s setup. This will help reduce some fading that may be happen with a standard rotor. This is much more applicable in 1s oval racing rather than say onroad. I ran a 13.5 duo3 in my wgt car last week and it was a rocket over my duo2. But in oval racing the 1s rotor helps the motor stay stronger in the last 60 - 90 seconds of racing. There are much more details but that is the basics of it.

The ones I am speaking of are about 125 points below the best ones and 100 points below the average ones. These are no where near as consistent as the past duo's. BUT I have not noticed a difference on the track in TC. I have not tried one in 12th scale with weak vrs strong rotor with the D3.

fantomracing.com. Not show on website but if you call or email them you can have one of the 1s rotors, they are around $25 or so per rotor.

Default Rotors

The 1s rotors are not availabe yet for sale and NO motors have been shipped with them in it at this point. With that said, the D3 rotors are now plated for better life and the motors seem to hold up well to over 180 degress with no damage. I still suggest 160 - 180 heat range.

Regarding rotor strength the absolute strongest is not always the best. Just because the material used is stronger at room temp does not mean it performs the best 2 - 3 min. into a run and temp at the rotor 160 - 200 degrees.

Not what I was told by Team Fantom racing but I guess i got the information wrong. Email or call them if anyone is interested in a different rotor and see what answer you get from them

Default 1s Rotors

There are some around that people have been testing, but I am not aware of any that have been shipped with motors and I am not aware of any availabe for sale at this point. Now a large motor supplier that purchases 100s of motors at a time may have the ability to take the stock rotors and check them and determine that some are weaker than others and use those for 1s application. That is very possible. It is even possible that they have some 1s rotors to play and test. However, they are not being sold via epic to the masses yet. Once they are comfortable with the performance of them, they will be released.

I hope this helps.

I am only a team guy as well and do not have full knowledge of all the workings inside and out of Epic. I am only offering what I know at this point to try and help.

Best luck to all!
