BTW, I am not cyber stalking you Christian...just looking for a new Sedan. Really impressed with your work!
hey Adrian, thanks for the words. I'll write a bit of what I have found out on the RSD thread. However, I feel the testing is still inconclusive.

Craig, enjoy the items. Hopefully they help you gain some tenths.

Are you running blinky or boosted? If you're running blinky, probably gonna need a smaller spur gear like around an 88 tooth.

I can only offer a guess, but your spur should be good, pinion wise maybe 35 to 45 range. I'm use to running blinky, with 48/88 ratio. Just watch your temps.

hey shaggy,i did double check my local track for sedan 17.5 class racing and i was wrong on my previous reply, it was BLINKY, now my question is the AE kimbrough spur will fit just fine in my 416??i want to get the same gears as yours, if not, what brand should i get? since tamiya spur gears are really hard to find here in us.

I'm using the RW racing spurs, version 2, 88 tooth. They are available at speedtechrc. A good starting fdr is right around 4.0. So your looking at around a 46 to 50 tooth pinion range.

You slide it on the shaft while the motor is unattached but against the motor mount, secure your motor screws, then tighten the pinion using the hole in the underside of the chassis, then adjust your alignment and gear mesh.

The wiring on that car would soon lead to disaster! Looks good though, the new chassis would be nice as would the servo mount. The rest are just consumables that I could replace once mine are worn. I don't want those dampers as negative rebound doesn't ever figure in any of my set-ups.
