The shock towers are 417x towers.
So the differences are
2 gear diffs (no spool)
Blue edged stickers.
So the differences are

The lower deck on the newer TRF417x Reedy Race chassis looks an awful lot like the image on Kentech's blog.
He updated the blog saying that it was a 2.5mm not 2.25 but maintained the same cutouts, but the Tamiya site says it is 2.25 with additional fles(additional cutouts)
I think there is a THIRD TRF417X chassis on the way which is the MR edition, 2.5mm with MINIMAL cutouts... Until we get images for
42232 TRF417X Lower Deck (2.5mm)
42233 TRF417X Upper Deck (2.5mm)
We wont know...

A place where we can leave behind our professional lives and have some enjoyment out of these things. I've read several of your posts and each one is commenting on chassis flex and how certain things are better than others. If you get into over analyzing chassis flex in a tiny hobby like this you'll never never enjoy it. Get out there and have fun.

A forum, is just that, a forum which people can share information, opinions and thoughts. The track I race on is very competitive, and I have yet to reach my chassis' full potential and I am not even messing with gearing yet... The culprit I believe is chassis flex. Hard, sharp turns I have tons of steering, yet my chassis performs flawlessly on slower sweeping turns. Additional camber in the front is leading to excessive tire wear on only one tire, increased rear camber and increased spring rate causes the rear to slide and it skips on the traction compound soaked sections causing hopping and traction roll.
That is the reason I am focusing on flex. that flex which only appears to happen at one part of the track and less steering input is needed when turning right. The chassis is balanced(as well as I can make it)

Good point about the split between front and rear link heights, the split between them affects the balance and the height affects the level of mechanical grip. It's not clear what end of the car you are talking about though?
When I used to run xray, Hagberg told me a higher inboard front link will give more initial steering, and a lower link will give more mid corner. I've mostly found this true, because if you go too low on the front link you get taily mid corner, especially in sweepers as you say. It's a balancing act though because too high and you get big initial steer and then slide causing double steer.

more shims = lazy (maybe why it seems that it has less steering?) car but more grip in the middle on the front specially taily in the middle of the sweepers. i always end up with box setup though (4mm F, 3mm R).. but with 4.5mm shims in-front i spin out at the fast sweepers more often with my limited driving skills.. i like the balance already for our track with box setup.
