I just used tape here, put the inner brace on the centre of the chassis to stop the battery moving inwards. Had one the outer braces go into a brand new battery in a crash.
Hopefully they release an upgrade kit. The motor mount sucks for spec blinky class, cant get the gearing with the current motor mount.

I have already had a good look through your very usefull site. Ran the car on carpet for the first time and was very impressed, i think i need to get a set on white springs as the kit blue/yellow was too soft. That and some 46mm shafts for the spool.

There used to be a milky blue set as well... but they are impossible to find anymore.
For the spool, I can strongly recomend the Roche spring steel outdrives. I've switched to them a while back, with 44mm front shafts, and they still aren't showing any signs of wear, despite having about 8days of running modified on them (talking about 10-15runs a day)... very impressed.
