MurfDogg,

I am racing 1/12th Mod at the TZ GP, do you have tuning rotors for your motors to tailer them towards 1/12th and making them smoother as opposed to the huge torque that say a sedan may require. I could use some help in this area, lots of very fast factory pros coming to this race, and I need a BL motor.

I checked out your website and noticed you have an off road and an oval team, do you need to start an on road team? Just kidding, Kinda

Thanks,
Steve

Corallyman there is a 1s rotor that he can put in the motor for you. I have the rotor in my 13.5 and 4.5 and it does make a difference.

We have a high RPM rotor for 1s modified racing, and our standard Modified rotor. I am not sure what rotor will be best at Timezone, as that track is HUGE! Max Kuenning will have our 4.0 with the big rotor, and Dave Erlich has been running our 4.5 with RPM rotor.

I just shipped a package of Mod motors to TimeZone for the race. They will be in stock at the track.

We have an On-Road team, I just have my hands tied with other things right now... Need to get a few things updated on the site.

The 1s Spec Rotor, and the 1s Modified Rotor are 2 very different units...

The biggest advantage to the 1 rotors are the increased air gap in the motors, and due to our high strength Neodymium Sintered rotors, we still pull amazing torque out of our 1s rotors.

I just place an order thru Team High Velocity Murfdogg 17.5 (Black Can Ver.)

What is the Recommended gearing for 17.5 Motor with TEKIN RS on TC asphalt.

Hi Matt,

In the order going to TZ were there any 1s mod motors shipped or just 2s TC motors? In need of a 12th Mod motor!

Thanks,

Kody

I have the same question. Thinking about picking up the same motor. Would be used for TC asphalt and a little TC carpet.

The 4.0s are 2s, the 4.5 and 5.5 are 1s....

Now let me say this, the "1s" rotor performs well in 2s racing also. It has more RPM, and less Torque. Some drivers like the feel of the 1s rotor for TC racing... it gives ridiculous top end and is ultra smooth through the powerband.

I usually run the "1s" rotor in my 2s applications.

It all depends on your track and RS settings... Big, Med, Small track? Tight? Wide Open? High Bite? Medium? Low? I will return your PM in the Morning. Gotta get some sleep...
