Perhaps it would be a good idea to have one motor by one manufacturer. The other manufacturers won't like it but it will even out the playing field. A lot of motors vary by about 200 rpm per volt. Maybe judging these motors by rpm ratings instead of turns would be a better option. Then this brings up another question. How many manufacturers are going to exaggerate about their rpm ratings?

Spec Motor could be a great move, but might as well fix body list at the same time, (back to scale, see first few pages of this thread).

I would consider this class again if. 911 or m3 was viable.

Default Spec body

While the choice of so many different bodies is one of the big draws of the class, I did enjoy something that Myron did at the USVTA Southern Nationals a few years ago. It was a requirement for the Pro GT class (I think that's what he called it) to run the Protoform Z28. This is mine in the Lawrence Loshak livery from that year.

Not spec body, scale body. PF makes Vette, that are fine. Bitty has the Lambo, sure. Exotek is due to bring out a new body, I suggest they try doing a scale Aston Martin, that would be cool! Maybe HPI can get back in the game?!?!?

it will take off cause rob said it will be the one and only motor to be ran in 2020 (not sure of the month tho) .
Some club tracks that have committed to the canam motor might stick with it this season but I’m sure even they will go to this motor next season

HELP!!! - Does all this mean the Gravity RC Spec motor will be the only Spec motor for USGT? Will this motor also be the Spec motor for TC 21.5T.

Lastly. Will VTA still be running 25.5T?

Looking forward to someone setting me straight on these questions. Thank You in advance.

My only concern with this is the same issues the TCS classes face which is availability. There has been points where we wait months for a motor to run a class only to find stores to get those high demand spec motors in and give it a nice 40% price markup

I can help a little .
yes the gravity USGT motor will be the ONLY motor legal to you at official usgt/usvta events at some point in 2020 and on ...
most likely since it says “USGT” on the motor it will not be the motor used in 21.5 TC class unless you just want to use it in your club race car seeing as it mostl likely will not be roar legal nor as fast as the current cheater 21.5 motors
VTA will continue to be open 25.5 motors mainly due to the steps rob took in making the roar specs for the 25.5 motor in its initial years of being a official roar approved wind .
