I need to dyno this motor. The difference between all the motors is how high and wide the torque and rpm curves are. Peak power is a rule of thumb for electric motors but it really wont tell you the difference between a short 125 watt peak and a long 100watt peak. Allot of the spec motors are very peaky meaning the gearing and rollout are very sensitive. A wide 100 watt is easier to drive and setup and in some case will always beat a peaky 125watt.

It has less timing so it definitely will be less peaky. Area under the curve should be fatter.
I think a lot of guys over time anyway. Actual loaded dyno runs (vs. Running on a motor checker) sometimes show more power at lower timing points. I remember a series of posts on 25.5 motors for f1 cars, where dyno results showed equal power at around 35* vs typical mid forties timing. Just had to take advantage of the differing power curve.

People who can usefully read a dyno plot are.... not common? Like... in none of my hobbies is the idea of area under the curve really looked at well. "gimme big numbers" *shakes head*

Had a chance to upload the A1 main at Protoform Cup 2019.
USGT at it's funnest and purist form- like 6 different bodies in the main, equally spec'd motors, FF and 4wd running together, real engine sounds in the background, beautiful asphalt layout and glorious mirrors on the body
Can't wait til next years race.

The Motor sounds in the background are awesome.

you get it. Its all about area under the curve and aligning the track and chassis to use this area. Because of the way efficiencies are based on rpm and how many milliseconds you spend in and out of the efficiency zones all of the science around electric motors is very different than most other forms of power. To develop a an electric motor to be part of a purpose built system you have to understand acceleration and heat at all points of the track. Its not hard but it is several leaps beyond a kv and current reading.

I don’t think it’s that obvious. Just looks like most other touring car bodies

Inspired by. But I’d have probably never come up with it. Either way, it should not be in USGT

Yes there are plenty of bodies now of look alike hyper allowed in GT. But the line stays there.
That right there is a TC body. Head lights and tail lights don’t make it a GT.
It’s not as if there is no class for that body to begin with... TC has multiple classes with different motors. So you have to ask yourself why would you want to run that body in GT to begin with?
