I agree, almost 100% - except that for carpet, generally I'd say the range is more like 5-10k (1-3k for asphalt), but as you said, it depends on so many factors...

Yes, I know that there is a lot of factor because I currently use 5k-7k and was just wondering if anyone else have tried 10k?

Mazda 6, Dodge Dart and Honda Integra are FWD bodies :-)

Why not allow the Traditional TC style "Speed 6, Dart etc" only on FWD for usgt to level up the playing field? No hatchback body is going to compete with the cream of the crop usgt bodies let alone a Fwd with a hatchback body?

I can see that the current hatchbacks like the Civic (castrol) and the VW golf may not be as competitive, but with time I am sure newer FWD specific bodies will be developed to push the envelope a bit. My sons FF04 started as a VW Scirroco and now he wants to run the Honda Accord wagon, i know in the Tamiyacup (euro) days I had a lot of success with the Tamiya Mondeo and Accord bodies, which are both sedan style bodies. I would say the Mazda 6, Stratus and others based on an actual FWD car would be allowed??? As it would be a shame to see those of us running the Exotek, Zooracing and Bitty bodies that bear little resemblance to a real car, while the slower FWD class are under a stricter body rule!!! Just my 2 cents. Either way i still racing my USGT car no matter what!
Yet at the same time.if FWD is restricted, to bring entries to the race and make it easier, then I can see that too! I mean once the racing bug bites, your hooked, and the natural progression would be full 4wd USGT!! Lol

Aha ok so 2 wrongs make a right LOL.
The class is USGT. Cars with bodies based on real GT cars. The rules were relaxed to allow look alike bodies of super cars to bypass licensing fee’s. Not all of us are content with that.
Now a few want to run FWD in the class, that is their choice. Since FWD cars are typically hatchbacks and sedans their is concern that those bodies will be a hinderance in performance.
So now you’re asking to further water down the rules and add TC bodies that have “zero” resemblance to a real car but have names of said “fwd” cars?
1. No one asked you to run FWD
2. FWD is not going to be the saviour of this class, any class or RC
3. Droves of newbies are not going to flock to this class because of FWD chassis
4. FWD is just a fad, the latest gimmick for them to take your $
5. If you’re dying to run FWD go pick up an M07 and run M chassis
6. You want to run a TC style FWD body on your FWD car, go run it in TC class

If you want to run a FWD body on a FWD chassis, why not start a FWD class, using the 17.5 and USGT tyres?
