And the Closest car to any sort of a GT Type car, the Japanese GT300 Prius, is not even FWD, its a Mid-engine RWD Car.

Yet I think the TC/DTM type FWD bodies may work out well in the class, vs the full hatchbacks? Be nice to see a Volvo S60 TCI body for the FWD Class.

I seem to be one of the few who tries to keep fun in racing. I bought a T4F because I wanted something fun and different. I will likely not be the fastest under USGT rules, but I will certainly be laughing and enjoying the ride.

I want to see how far people can push the light weight car concept. I feel like a "functional race car" can be under 1000g.

The reason there is no weight limit is that every time I have seen FWD run vs 4wd, the FWD gets destroyed. So the thought was maybe if there was an incentive like no weight limit someone might bring out the FWD cars.
There has been exactly ZERO interest until the recent ETS/Awesomatix dustup . There is no separate class, because outside of some Tamiya TCS races, no one races FWD. I'm also less than inclined to make rules for a class that it looks like several manufacturers want to go to war over and ruin before it starts. I don't think anyone would like my rules.
Also, don't expect any chassis layout rules from the USVTA/USGT. Play on, players.

I think were trying to get something going on a club level at a couple tracks. Canam motors and gearing seem to be good for a FWD... I also like the challenge the hatchback bodies add.

on a short track the FF will not have the pull out of the corner as a 4wd I tested that out with the MTS FFv3 in usgt then ran the MTS T2 with same body tires motor and fdr . The FF was 3tenths slower . But doesn’t matter I don’t think FF will be as popular here as in overseas
