Don't be so sensitive. Changing tires for USGT over night doesn't seem logical. There are times I don't cope with the tires well, wether it be track conditions, ambient temps, etc. I don't just write off the tires. I Make minute adjustments till I'm happy and drive. Thats it. Win or lose, I at least know that everyone was competing on the same tires and lets me know where I am in the pecking order.

Living at 7,000 feet means we have a short racing season in Flagstaff, Arizona. It was 7 months til we had our first practice race last weekend. Our Summer Point Series starts in June, so I'm just doing some painting. McAllister Racing C5 Corvette and MX-Stang.....Time to get racing!!!

Honestly, doing 25.5 touring car and USGT, 25.5 TC is almost as fast.. like within 5%... but, the USGT car frustratingly "wanders off" and "becomes tippy" for me with tire age as they balloon up. I've been very frustrated with it on black carpet, but I've got it down now, and unfortunately, my view is USGT is actually harder than 25.5 TC class, and I have to do very little to my TC other than sauce the tires and put it on the track. With USGT, I've got my starting setup, and now a setup I slowly migrate to as the tires age and the car starts to tip, and no amount of CA glue on the sidewalls helps. It's a shit tire, and the motors got super fast, and that's why people have been doing 25.5 TC at my track.
I run both. At our track, in 21.5 and 25.5 TC, we all run the same tire, so we effectively have a spec tire, the motors are now governed by minimum resistance, so now USGT is actually more work. VTA is no more here, essentially replaced by traxxas 4-tec racing.
IMHO, USGT should pick a new spec tire. I haven't yet received a set of premount tires that didn't have at least one wheel with a +/- 1 degree camber wobble, and when I grab some throttle with the car in my hand, the body sounds like it's going to tear itself apart from the vibrations. The 4-tec 2.0 traxxas cars have better premount tire consistency and run-out. It's actually kinda sad.

They take a solid beating to break.. unlike the gravity ones... I broke one while breaking the tire in... wasnt to happy that day.

Man I wish my usgt tires lasted longer. Once they start to swell (usually 10-15 runs) they go to crap. Maybe its a black carpet thing its the only surface I have used them on.

Are you getting 15 runs total or 15 race days? 15 days is a long lasting tire. 15 runs? My tires don’t get good until 15 runs. That’s barely enough to get the mold seem off (even after sanding it)
What is your saucing routine and cleaning routine? There may be something there causing premature breakdown.

Motors run well at that FDR.. I have maybe .1 to .2 fade after 6 minutes and come off at room temp with a fan.
Speeds are very similar.. It's a matter of getting your chassis to work and drive consistent!
