Rattle can paint is heavier, when typically applied. Airbrushed bodies are lighter due to the finer mist.

I took some weights tonight on bodies I had in the basement. All bodies w/ 10mm lexan wing, painted

1 color white P Zero with stickers 96g
Airbrushed P Zero with stickers 98g
Tamiya 2007 Raybrig NSX for IFS (laydown shocks) 126g < TANK
Tamiya lightweight 2005 NSX silver only 66g <<<<wow!!!!
200 mm Protoform C6 Corvette airbrush paint job with stickers 105g
Team Bluegroove Ferarri F60 with stickers 110g
HPI Supra, one color stickers 109g
Old 190 mm Protoform Corvette (C5??) one color stickers 102g
Hpi McLaren silver and black, stickers 98g
McAllister MX Stang 3 colors 113g (!)

Did you use the whole can of white on the P-Zero? I used three coats of fluorescent backed with white and got 90g with stickers.

Polycarbonate is 1300kg/m^3. Which works out to 1.3 grams per CC.

19" long body, 8" wide, some.. what.. 4" tall? Lets figure something like 20x10" raw sheet material. Convert to metric... around 1300 square centimeters. A 6 gram change in plastic.. would only be a change of .0023 inches. While that's unlikely, a change of ~a thou~ is reasonable.

Now i'm wondering what the usual variation in body weight is.

To add to the data presented earlier by RobK, I'll go weigh my single color HPI R-34 body later this morning.

Agreed several of us at our local track ave airbrushed Pzero bodies at 88-92g Myron has his ford GT @ 90 also ... I know theirs one more body coming down the pipe that is 90g also ... And one more body that about 80g....

My P-zero is painted with three colors backed with white and it only weighed in at 91 grams.
