Hello, I have looked around and can't find any posted setup sheets for a 17 X-ray t4. Everything on petit is faster classes.
I know the base carpet set up will be a good start but could anyone possibly share any usgt setup tips.

Thanks in advance.

The craig xavier setup from the MOTIV Stock wars works great in USGT.

It appears that Tamiya is re-releasing the NSX GT 2005 lightweight body set :)

EOS Rd 3, Tamiya Laferrari! great looking body but has a bad push. still working on that and getting closer. i refuse to use the caddy body which is quicker for sure!

Question is.... will it be available to the US Market ? Normally I would have been excited to see this but since everyone is now going to the 21.5 motor for GT Racing, I have totally lost interest. I guess I am old school because I still think the idea is to get better at something and move up (like getting faster in RC), not slowing things down. 17.5 GT is where it should have stayed. :(

When was USGT ever 17.5?
the new gen of 21.5 motors are faster than the old 17.5's. 17.5's are insane now, on the hard spec tires 17.5 is a handfull.

Rodarbal 04-10-2017 08:15 PM

The USGT class has be using 21.5T motors for years so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, Panda. IMO, with better batteries, ESCs, and chassis, these cars with 21.5s are as fast if not faster than the 17.5s of just a few years ago. There is still the 17.5 stock class which is plenty fast now.

EDIT: Marcus beat me to the response!

USGT is my favorite class, you don thave to chase tires all day, not fast enough to break your chassis, look cool and when you have fast racers the racing is ultra close, you have to make "runs" in order to pass:D

DARKSIDE 04-10-2017 09:11 PM

RCGT was 17.5 and boosted ESC's...very fast...
