Looks like an R8 enough to me.....No Usgt body is identically proportional to the real car they replicate: it's just another reason for those who got beat to complain....

Get real, Bert. Nobody says "I lost because my body doesn't look accurate enough".

It's not a performance thing in my mind, winning / losing doesn't matter to me, just seems the spirit of USGT is getting lost, but i'm also one that thinks flames and tattoo paint jobs shouldn't be in F1 or USGT either.

Not accurate enough = illegal = Complainant got beat badly !!! I guess we are discovering which new "series" all the complainants will participate in, but they will still find a way to complain for having lost again.....Peace.....

Oh good - another USGT body pissing match ........ I was afraid I missed it.
|
Nope you didn't miss it. If there are any new bodies coming out soon this will continue for weeks........
|
I think at the local level the club needs to form their own “class”. A real GT class, corvette, Mustang, Porsche, Ferrari, production based and raced. |

Did you miss the part where I said at the “local level”

At the local level clubs already can and do override the approved body list, there's no need for yet another class.

RobK,
Have the new Exotek GT body been added to the approved USGT list? |
EXOTEK: #1762 P-ZERO GT #1863 R•TEK GT
|
So with the new onslaught of race car based bodies for USGT, does that mean the McAllister Daytona bodies are legal again? Just seems odd that they got banned, but now that the competition has caught up with these new bodies - who’s profiles are damn near identical - are allowed. Just curious. |

NO, the best guide is that if you can walk into a showroom and buy it it is likely an approved body, You cannot buy a Daytona prototype at any dealership....that is the difference. FYI, they are not 'race car based', they are street cars first. |

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...83057756e.jpeg It's not approved because robk says it isn't. Simple as that! |

its just never gonna end is it? Some manufacturer could come up with a mazda miata body and someone on here would ask if that made the McAllister Daytona bodies legal.
The group complaining about VTA tires has tried and continues with the same strategy. I once had a professor who loved the quote, " no horse is too dead to beat". Ironically, it was a negotiation course lol. |
bodies in USGT, tires in VTA.... wish my internet would break down
|
Agreed. I given up on both topics. At this point neither really matter much to me anymore.
|
Im going racing USVTA
|
How about a Radical RCZ Turbo 500 based on 2015 prototype

Good luck claiming IP on the term abbreviation of RC. It's like trying to trade mark someone surname. It can not be litigated against. Trust me from personal experience, I was sent a cease and desist letter by a guy with the same name as mine. My layer just laughed.😉

Can't do that with the Venom that was recently approved either...
The Venom was designed to be a street car, with horn and turn signals, not a purpose built race car like the DP cars the McCallister bodies are copied from. My guess is that more people complained about those bodies in GT than there were that wanted it....and that's likely why it was removed from the list.....just my opinion. |
so how does the new r tek body feel compared to the p zero
Anyone running the venom? how does it feel:deathstar |

ha ha...the Rteck looks good on the track, and the Venom adds to the class...I personally rather see a mix of bodies than just 1 body used.... this past Sunday, we had the Ford GT, Chevy Z28, the R-tek, the Pzero, Vette C7, and the Zr1... it looked good
|
Comparing between Rtek, P-Zero and Venom, I am looking also suggestion for carpet tracks too.
Best regards |
