Oh, I thought that the '008 had the same belts as the '009, but I can see that the '008 uses 38T/16T.
I think (but am not sure at all), that you can just use the T3 gear-diff (38T). I hope someone else can jump in here.

The T2/T3 geardiff is with a 38T pulley, so if your car has 38T pulleys, you should be able to use it.

Has anyone tried the Spec-R Gear-Diff for the TA05 and will it fit the TA05v2 chassis.

I've been running the gear diff in the front of my T3 with 500k oil, and it works great. I haven't replaced the rear yet (ball diff is still smooth). It's given the car just a tiny bit more entry steering over the spool.

Oh okay - but Spec-R also did a 34T geardiff. That is what I use in my '009. Works great.

Interesting, when I looked at the Spec-r website [http://www.spec-r.com/specrr2/module...index&cPath=7], I didn't find that diff. They offered only 37, 38 & 40T diffs [Xray was a 38T diff].

Doing the currency conversion, I get roughly 55 USD plus whatever shipping fee is charged. Just noticed, the 34T diff is out of stock.

The packaging doesn't say Spec-R, but it is. It says Atomic, but it is the same geardiff - but with 34T and another brand.

What am I doing wrong! LOL My buddy picked up 4 spec-r diffs for our 417's. All of the feel tight. Sanded all gears as well as extra on the two larger gears. Do I keep sanding the crap out of the?!?!. Talk about custom fit and finish if that's the case... maybe im a dum dum... Adding a second gasket fixes it but that shouldn't be needed. Yes they are the latest ones with the green gasket.

just run i them a couple of times and they will get smoother .. i just build mine today with the green gasket and the 0.2 shim and it feels a little tighter then my other 2 which where the ones with the TRF package .
