Futureal-I've been using the servo saver that came with the kit on my Futaba 9404 ever since September and the only problem I've encountered is that the servo saver screw backed out on it a couple of weeks ago. This car has very little "slop" in steering.

My shocks suck the shafts back in when they're built. Not completely, but close to it, like between 3/4 and fully in.

Isn't that suppose to happen when you rebuild shocks? I'm pretty sure your doing it correctly.

trips and fellas,
ok thanks again for the posts. that's news to me. some of the other shock manufacturers suggest that they do the opposite and return out to almost full lenth when equalized. i'm gonna give it a try. does the suction adversely affect droop effects? 'cause there is no spring force at the very bottom of the travel if you run alot of droop. what do ya think trips? later.

I suppose it could, but I think the weight of the arms, CVD shafts, and hubs would easily overcome the slight suction in the shocks.

Also bear in mind that you'd have to run a LOT of droop to get the shocks out to their full extension.

Thumbs down A Pile of Junk???

I am not satisfied with this piece of junk.!!
I raced it twice and both times I broke an arm, I am not that bad a driver!!
I have raced a TC3 for an entire season and never broke anything!!!
I am going to remove all the electronics and use it for a fishing weight I think...

I had a KILLER run tonight with the car. I ran the Matt Francis set up with the following changes.
1) Changed the pistons to 56 all the way around
2) ran a blue spring in the rear with the shock in the 2nd hole from the inside.
3) Ran a Yokomo green spring up front with the shock in the 2nd hole from the inside.

The reason why I went with the Yokomo spring was because I only wanted the front end slightly stiffer than the rear and going from blue to purple was too big a jump IMO. The Yokomo green is right in the middle of the two. The car had excellent steering and great rear traction. If you guys have some practice time I would give this set up a try.

Has anyone encountered any problems with running the 1-way. I heard that someone was snapping the cups on the bones where the cvd pin goes. The reason for this question is, if you turn the steering fully left or right(with the car on a stand) the cvd's will bind up and make the wheels bounce terrible bad. The sound of it definately tells you the cvd's are binding up right at the joint. I've tried moving the wheelbase on the front up, but it seems like that does'nt help solve the problem.
