Hey xxxs drivers that are using premade tires what brand are you using?

the reason I ask is because I thought my car was glitching but than came to the realization that the rim and arm were meeting up and causing the problem.

So if any one could help me get some premade wheels i appreciate it.

thanks

I have also had that problem with one supplier's version of the premade TakeOff tires/wheels. Breakage has been another issue. So, like James says, "Sorex" (probably on Yokomo) is a good alternative.

I was at Speedworld yesterday for their first race of the season. Billy B set me up with a set of Sorex tires on Yokomo wheels which eliminated the clearance problem.

Went by HobbyTown in Newark today because I was told via a post on RC Racing that they had a TakeOff with a "different" wheel; but, could not find anything.

Other than that, I believe that RC Tech in Daly City/SF is trying to get a supply of premade TakeOff tires on Speedmind wheels. Will ask them more about this at the Tuesday race night.

Another thing to do is Dremel away at the tops of the nylon tie rod ends...Especially those big RPM ones most people are using.

Racing at Newark this coming Saturday, 3/6. Pray for sun...

XXX-S Bill Hobby World in Gilroy has the Take Off tires in stock. They have them in a 4 pack of two CS-27 and two CS-22 mounted on Speedmind wheels. They also have the 4 pack of CS-27's and CS-22's. Call first to make sure they are still in stock.
408 847-8799 ask for Luke or Jamie.

BTW Hobbytown in Newark was out of the premounted Take-Offs when I was there last Tuesday.

Thumbs up Losi cars at USTC race #4

Hey guys I just wanted to say that the Losi cars this weekend looked really good at the 4th leg of USTC in Wis. Ray Darroch had an awesome car all weekend in stock and mod....he Took the TQ and win in stock. I think there was 3 or 4 Losi cars in the A. A losi car also TQed Mod sedan as well but was "bumped out of the way" on the first lap. I ended up second qualifier in stock and a mistake later in the race moved me back in the pack. Anyway Look for the Losi guys to do very well at the ROAR carpet nats the cars are very strong right now.

Maybe Todd Hodge can get us all Ray's setup that hes been running and post it here or if Ray can post it that would be great too.

I think you ought to mill it but not go through all the way. Would be better for the outdoor races. You can do that on your mill right?

I dont have the attachments yet to clamp the chassis to my mill so I could do the sides. I can do the top and bottom of the chassis, but I do the sides by hand. Milling partially through the material is hard, I tried it on Kevin's chassis, but just decided to kill more weight by going through the chassis, he mainly runs stock and sometimes 19t so it should be fine for his needs, but I plan on mostly mod with mine, so I'll have to leave more material on the chassis...

Josh Numan and Chris Tosolini put on a great show tonight at SoCal, both were blazing fast and made for some really good racing.

Thanks for the setup advice Josh and Steve, hopefully I'll be out there next week with the new car.
