Need some advice before heading to the Novak race in a few hours. Traction has come up big time with guys running foam tires. Because of this, there are 2 places on the track where I'm trying to keep the car from traction rolling: in the middle of the high speed sweeper, and coming out of a chiccane on to the longest straight. I have the firmest Losi bar on front, and I have firmed up the outer bead of the tire with CA. I'm running 80wt ft, 70 rear, 2F block with LRC in front, 4r block in the HRC holes but using lrc blocks with .020 shims under them. I was thinking of moving the front shocks out one hole on the shock tower, I am at the second hole from the inside, so I can move out 2 holes. I as also debating of giving the car more front camber so there is less of a likelihood of the tire rolling and folding the bead under. This started happening when I bolted the handout tires on, before I was running newer tires in rear then front, same CS 27 compound. I like the car in the infield with the fresh tires all around so I don't want to resort to scuffing the fronts. any suggestions? I am leaving in about 2-2.5 hours. Thanks in advance.

I have, but I am not at the track right now. I want to get to the track with a gameplan in mind. I have a few ideas swimming in my head right now....I was even thinking of trying the Trinity super lrc front blocks and keeping everything else the same to give the front a little more kick up and be more forgiving

Alright XXX-S fans, I need setup help, and fast!
I'm running in this brushless class here at the Novak race, and with all of the foam tires being run, the track is really bad for the rubber tire cars. With what I am running right now, it pushes badly for the first minute, is dialed in until about 3:30 and then starts to traction roll. The heats/mains are 6 minutes long each, at close-to-mod speeds.
Any idea on where to go with it? I'm afraid that if I take away steering, it will just make the car un-driveable at the beginning of the heat.
Here's what I have right now:
Front -
Purple Springs / 70 wt
One-way differential
6* caster
Losi mid-roll blocks
2F mount
shock #2 hole on tower
camber link #2 hole on tower
.060 swaybar
-1* camber
droop 3mm
Rear -
Silver springs / 60 wt
2.5* toe-in each side (non-offset)
low roll center
2R mount
shock #3 hole on tower
camber link #4 hole on tower
shock outer hole on arm
camber link outer hole on hub (hole B)
-1* camber
droop 5mm
Ride height 5mm all around
Hand out tires are Take Off 27s
Motor is a Nvoak SS5800 brushless, 128/32 gearing (7.32 final)
Body is a Stratus 2.1
If anybody has any ideas, I'm all ears! The traction rolls are my number one concern, obviously there is a driving component in this as well, but right now the car is right on the edge of rolling over everywhere around the track after the 4 minute mark. It sucks.

Haven't tried that yet, but I can't imagine that would fix the entire problem. I will have to give it a shot tomorrow.

Todd was explaining camber links back a few pages back. He said you could raise the camber link on the tower, in the front of the car, to stiffen the front end and have less camber change...or try using hole number 3. Hole number 3 will also give you more initial steering into the turn, that will fix your push problem at the beginning of the race. Hole number two gets grabby in the middle of the corner as traction comes up and will start to traction roll. Give the number 3 camber link a try and maybe the hole up above 2-3 if you have one drilled. If it still traction rolls try a bigger sway bar maybe if there is a bigger one. Don't glue the side wall if you are running rubber tire...only with foams. That's what I can think of.
