to slow down you can run drag brake or very little on the transmitter. With a one way you get so much sterring you probly will not like it very much at first but when you drive it for a while you will beable to see if you are faster with diffs, oneway, or locked front diff. One way is my fav.

From what I have heard the rear shock tower will be a running change, no new part number. The rear arm is listed above, A-9860. I have looked for a new belt number but have not had any luck as of yet. The bumpers have been out of stock for awhile now, I would hope the ones coming will be of the new material.

I also wanted to mention that I just finished putting up the latest parts with part numbers for the XXX-S that Losi has released. Our order should be in soon so we are taking pre-orders on these parts.

Thanks!

Has anyone already tried to make the diffs more lightweight? The standard one is 23.5 grams ... I only managed to go down to 22 grams ... do you think it can be lighter in some way?

Do you know of someone who sells light diff. balls, rings, etc. ?

Also, the standard MIP CVDs are a bit heavy ... The aluminium ones are lighter ... all 4 are 29 grams ... do you think that 5 grams (rotational) can effect the accelleration or the performance in some way?

Depends, How good of a driver are you? How good is your throttle finger. If you have a smooth finger you'll be able to accelerate faster because the wheels won't spin...

If your worried about saving grams here and there. Get the HPI body (lighter and thinner) and use as little paint and no stickers. And learn to solder well. I see more added weight from solder on peoples cars than all the milling they spend hours and hours on.

Oh, and the fastest way around the track is to not hit anyting. And if you can't do that... You can drive the lightest car in the world and it won't make a difference. Besides breaking easier.

Mark.

I think you have all the bearing measurements in the manual.

Have a look. I may be wrong.

I like the club web site. Well done.

Let me know if you're going down to the track tomorrow.

regards

Joe.

Bearing sizes off the top of my head are:
4 - 1/2 x 3/4 outdrives
11 - 3/16 X 3/8 wheels and pulley
8 - 5x8 diffs and steering

Senna-You can make a lightweight locked front diff to get one that weighs about 13 grams. This could be done with hand tools and a drill. Instructions on the locked front diff thread on Trinity's Tech Talk. I don't know if a Lightweight Losi spool is available yet. Dragon RC had plans to make one.

I just converted the rear Losi diff to TC3 diff parts and plastic outdrives. The diff and dogbones are 8 grams lighter than the Losi diff and aluminum dogbones. A description of the Mod is on Trinity's Tech Talk. This requires some lathe work. Not tested Yet, but looks like it will work fine.
