I run the losi spurs, why do you need the adapter, just adds more rotating mass. I do own one for emergency's and at that time I run Dumor spurs from corrally. They are a blck plastic with the sides taken down 50% for less friction.

highx: I use RRP Super Machined Spur Gears.
They're l/3 lighter and thinner than standard spur gears.

I use the Integy spurs or the trinity spurs. The Losi spurs are great but every now and then I want to hit a certain final drive ratio so I have to use a different spur gear.

Thanks for the help! As for why I am considering the gear adapter, the Losi spurs do not seem flat. The larger the spur I have used the more it seems to be warped or out of sorts. This would seem to me to cause friction between the spur and pinion. Makes it hard to get proper mesh. Anyone else notice this?

Take a peek at the new spur gears being distributed by Schumacher, I believe they are called RW? They are the most percise spur you will ever see and they are about 2.5mm wide. you can floss with it.

hey guys its OBY off the hpi forum...i'll be in this forum and this one only, if that matters...

been racing the xxxs for a while now, quite knowledgable, do very well with it.

yeah the blue and white spur adapter is made by fastrax which you can get from CML distribution CML

they have delrin outdrives available which are the same sorta white colour...the adapter may be the same, i'm not sure. theres alot of aluminium bits on there too, i have the front and rear hubs as the originals seemed to break ALOT, so far no problems with these and the surrounding areas!! fingers crossed!

I am sure this has been asked before but don't want to go back over 80 pages to find it.

What is the internal ratio for the xxx-s?

today was my first race with my new xxxs. i finished building and setting it up at the track. in the first race i won but in the second i slowed down to drive around some crashed cars when i got slamed into from behind. it cracked the rear shock tower straight through. what is the best option for a new one is it the stock, graphite, or speed tech. also would boiling the stock one help any. i guy at the track said that the losi breaks real easy but he was very anti losi and pro x-ray. is there any truth to what he said and if so what can i do about it.
