Re-design is easy but sending out drawing, quote, order and production will take a bit of time. We need a fix asap and if a heat treat process will get everyone's Evo back up and running right away then that's the most logical choice first.

Already passed over 6pr of mount/motor plates that are getting test treatment done tomorrow. After they are done, they will be checked for flat on CMM. If not flat, then ground and back to me to test. If they are able to get these done tomorrow, I'll take some up to MSI for the guys running Evo's to throw on their cars and start using to see if this fixes things.

Again, if I know the problem and what to address then we will get it fixed but you guys have to let me know (preferably e-mail and right away). I'm decient at performance testing but I guess not good enough at durability testing...lol..

Update:

So, we tried to heat treat the motor plates and while it did not warp the parts it did not achieve the hardness I am looking for to make all of you guys happy... I currently have e-mails and I'm going to call two local suppliers here in the area that have a little different treatment that should get the hardness I'm looking for so there is no way you guys can bend them without causing any warping issues that we would have to re-grind the bottoms. I should know more this week and have them out of here asap. Again, anyone that wants these replaced - please send us back the bent ones and we will replace them free of charge. Also, we will indicate on the shopping site when these hardened ones are the ones in stock.

Default evo update

Any news on the heat treatments? I'm very interested in this tc but would like to pick one up with the new bulkheads/motor mount. Just picked up a griffin and can't wait to race it this upcoming week. You've always had very clean looking cars.

The Griffin is good. Only three people have really challenged me and my CRC car. One has a CRC, the other two are Griffins.

Yeah I always wanted to get a C12 back when I used to race but super happy with it just everything is simple and well thought out. Plus it doesn't have blue or red anodized parts haha
