Hot Bodies TCX

top arm link
On Andy's car in the pick he is using the closer hole to the bulk head. At the rear and the front which makes the top arms shorter and more angled.. does this result in more camber gain through the corners? or? I have never changed this link position.. and dont see many setups using the other hole..

Increased angle does generate more camber gain.

I am really considering running the TCX this winter, but wanted to get some thoughts before I jumped in.
Our racing here will be 17.5 - Non-Boosted - Spec Tire (Sweep Blue), on Ozite, typical very tight and technical layouts. Does anyone have a good setup to look at to start with?
Also, what do I need to get besides the car (any critical updates or "must haves")?
Spec-R has a gear diff for it, is there anything I need to purchase with it for the TCX?

If you are getting the SpecR gear diff you should also think about a set of their 46mm driveshafts for the front.
As for setups check out Hara's IIC setup here; http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/hotb...tBodiesTCX.htm
And look for the video on youtube to see what it looks like.

There's pictures of Andy Moore's car from the Euros last weekend on www.EFRA.ws. Go to Gallery at the top right, then choose the 1/10th TC Euros!
Spoke to Andy quite a bit, so if you've got any questions I can try to help you out with what he was running on the car.
He was running a new Front Rear suspension bar (ie, the one immediately in front of the servo), the latest chassis plate and a prototype gear diff. Other than that, the car was basically box standard.

Personally, I put put some paper ring, I have not found a fitting shim to go there... But I will check that after the first run...

With so many new parts for the TCX why doesn't HB release a new car or will we have to buy everything piecemeal ? Maybe an update package containing just the new parts would be a better way to go ...
#3446
I rather piece meal it, instead of shelling out $400+ lump sum.
#3447
I know what your saying but with new shock towers, chassis, top deck, rear uprights, spindles, dog bones, hinge pin mounts and gear diff. I'm not so sure you wouldn't be shelling out close to $400 for the lot anyway.
My problem is that I'd want it all at once.

New narrow chassis
Hey, couple of questions about the new chassis.......
Do we know how the new chassis will affect the handling of the car?
Has it got more flex than the stock chassis?
Is it better suited to high grip or low grip situations?
Any input would be appreciated!
