I am also thinking about getting the Exotek XX chassis & steering brace. Does anyone know if the XX chassis is stiffer than the stock chassis?

I've read that Tamiya 416 knuckles will fit on the TCX; is anything else required? I've read that the x-ray knuckles require different bushings....will the tamiya ones work with HB bushings?

Also, I see that the Tamiya knuckles come on sets of two - are the knuckles L/R specific, or are they the same?

Thx!

i had used 416 axles for few months, it has some play at the spool outdrive but its driveable.
i m also using xray knuckles (no L or R) you can add .5mm shim under the bushing, no need to replace another brand of bushing

The Tamiya knuckles are a bit thicker so you need to file it to fit in our c hub. The L/R are the same though. If you want a perfect fit without any mod, use Yokomo BD5 knuckles. Both Tamiya and Yokomo knuckles will change the ackerman, so readjust the ackerman angle accordingly.

Xray knuckles fit good, place a shim on the top side. Use the inner steering hole and the ackerman will line up very close to the HB outer hole.

The knukles the 416/17 are easily assembled, simply turn upside down one a steering block busching #7522 (I rotate the top).
Tamy Knukle are the same R/L

Imagine that, Hara in third!!! There was no way Moore was to be denied this conquest! He controlled it from the first qualifier.

A TCX finished 4th in the Brushless class (13.5) and dominated (TQ and Win) in the Open Blushless (11.5).

I too had to use the XRAY knuckles. I use the #2 hole and 4mm of shims on the rack.
