Just got mine from speedtech rc.

WOW this kit is awesome
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Just one question...

can this car support 26mm front and 28mm rear tires?

I like foams better than rubber!

ngo8 08-26-2004 09:26 PM

yeah it does only thing is need to use the red and blue shims on the wheel hex

JimmyMac 08-27-2004 07:04 PM

Hey Dave, did you put the .5mm shim on top or bottom of the Pro4 spindle?

on the bottom of the knuckle:nod:

Thanks again Dave. Helps to have someone be the guinea pig first lol.. :D Looks like I'll have to trim down the pin cushions on the IRS dog bones to make a good fit in the outdrives. Or else it'll look like it'll bind up the drive train being too tight.

It's also nice to see that a Jaco 28mm foam tire will clear the Pro4 spindle arm with the Tamiya 6mm silver wheel hexes. Great news for me with carpet season coming up! And the Snowbirds next year! :D

Hey Kilruf,
What are you doing posting here, don't you have a diff to build?:D :D :D

JimmyMac 08-27-2004 11:15 PM

Yeah, but looks like the 415 diff will take some more rethinking. The Yokomo diff idea seems like it'll be the best choice as of right now since it's been done before. The all Tamiya diff will require too much shimming on one side.

Oh well, it's worth the try though.

Hey,

Hope someone help me...

I don't like stock turnbuckle set of TB Evo 4 (black steel).

I like to convert it to blue Alum turnbuckle set. Problem is how i know to buy size of turnbuckle cos there only blue is:

3x18mm
3x23mm
3x32mm
3x35mm

TB Evolution 4 had:

3x42mm
3x28mm

Anyone can help me?

Holmenkollen 08-28-2004 09:15 AM

Can you buy the outer hinge pin screws loose?
The screw head just cracked when I tried to unscrew it.

Try Speedtech if your in the US

The link is in my signature

JimmyMac 08-28-2004 10:23 AM

Outter hinge pin screws are #51099 for 2.6x25mm. And #51098 for 2.6x22mm. I got mine at R10. But I did not see any at SpeedtechRC.
