depending on what maker...but I have been able to fit a kawada 102 spur in there..but it sticks below the bottom deck:rolleyes:..the safest would be a 100 and the smallest would be 88..

Dave, it looks like you know alot about the Evo4. What do you think, Evo4 or 415?

What's up, this George, Rod is in the garage building his Evo4, just a week before the KO Prop GP. Yup, school was in session yesterday at Tamiya America, and master Dave Jun gave his padawan a good lesson, not once but 5 times. Looks, like Rod has hit terminal velocity with the 415 and is has done the switch. Some how he's convinced that the TRF41x series is not for him, since he asn't won a major race with it, so back to the Evo series. Edgar was there too, and his Evo4 looked really good with a mod. Until he threw in a Tamiya 23T, without a setup change, and it went from to good to WTF. All in all, it was a good day at Tamiya America, even Tom Kahl and I did some F201 testing, with some interesting results and food for thought. But yeah, speaking with the master, the car is definitely a major step forward in the Tamiya Evo series. The 415 is still a very capable car, that was proven with Corey's win during one and only throw down of the day with a mix field of Evo's and 415's in varying hop-op stages.

Can you use the same bodies on the Evo IV as you use on the 415 without drilling new holes?

Someone was saying that you could not. But that is what we exactly did. I borrowed a friends 415 body and drop it on my evo 4.:D

the rear lines up the same... but the front posts on the EVO4 are about 4~5mm further back:nod: .... so technicaly if you had larger holes in your body you might be able to mount it...?:weird:

Both cars are really good... I just think that the 415 is a bit more stiff... but the EVO4 is right there with it.. the EVO4 has a bit more rip...probibally due to the shaft drive:nod:
