I'd suggest just to read through this forum thread from about 10 or so pages ago, when the Evo 4 came out. Dave has already stated things about the two cars saying that they are very similiar in performance, just depends on what you prefer to drive and what the parts availability is for where you are. If both were available at the time and the part availability issue was not a problem with either, I would go with whatever is the most popular at the moment, or what will be the most popular after a while. Evo 4 has only just been released this is why I'd look for that into the future. If there is something about a new car, its that its good to grow with the car, with other people. The more you learn, the more you can tell others and vice versa. I'd much rather be like teammates rather then be in the dark yourself in a situation where you MAY make the car fast rather then you'll definately make the car fast.

Basically, both cars are great, top of the line cars so mechanically there's not a lot to suggest one over the other. All will have personal preferences on the matter, like myself (TAMIYA!!!!!) but yeah, think about what I've said and go from there, because there is no UBER car that will kill all others. That's why its competitive!!!! :D

Excellent. I will be looking forward to seeing that. I seem to have got the rear sorted out but the front is still causing issues.

has anyone figured out how to stop the front drivetrain from moving up and down in the gear case?

Thanks in advance! :D

Maybe it's designed that way.

How does the new car perform compared to an Evo3 Surikarn? (same setup)

OK Back form a little testing and it seems that if you use a 0.1mm shim between the two 10x6 bearings on the front bevel gear shaft you can get rid of 90% of the play in the front gear ..which in turn makes the car run a bit quieter:nod::D

the shim set that I bought was a Yokomo one that comes with .3/.2/.1mm sizes to shim with:D
