are the EVO IV wishbones, castor blocks, toe in blocks ,steering knuckle`s the same as the TRF415
do both cars use the LW susp the same

just doing catch up on home work on the EVO IV & III cars

TryHard 02-09-2006 08:52 AM

what you doing in here colin... going tamiya shaft now are we?

In answer to your question, Yes all the wishbone components are the same as the MS and MSX 415's. The original 415 uses the TRF414/Evo3/TA04-05 suspension.

Colin,
A lot of people are using pro 4 knuckles and castor blocks on tamiya's. I tried to get some today but everyone is out of stock :weird: . Makes me glad that i havent got a pro 4. perhaps they are all running tamiya parts. lol.
The reason for this is that they are more durable and have bigger bearings that last more than 2 races. I use ceramic bearings in mine but because they are small they dont last long.

what size are the pro4 bearings? i know the XRay T2 has 5x10... a little more durable than the LW Suspension 5x9 bearings.

Sean T Guy 02-09-2006 10:33 AM

5 x 10 good bearings as oppossed to the garbagge ones that come in the kits.

is this the size 5 X 10 X 4MM? Im thinking of getting ceramics. If this is the right size what other sizes would i need. Also has anybody got or know where i can get the instruction manual for the evo 4 from?

www.rcmart.com has a small selection of parts for the car. Also, there are a couple sellers on ebay that have a much wider variety of parts for a lot of tamiya products. You can check with your LHS as well. My LHS doesn't normally stock parts for the Evo IV but they are more than willing to order just about anything I need for it.
