Colin ,
You saw Jasons's Surikarn at the KO. Completely loaded with red , even gear covers. The biggest difference is the drivetrain. The evo 3 has much more direct drive with no slop whatsoever compared to the evo 4 which you can turn the front left wheel 1/4 turn before the back right has realised. This is because the main prop is direct into the diff gears instead of going through the ally cup into the diff housing. The evo 3 is therefore more expensive to crash head on with competitors :weird: Also the evo 4has a final drive ratio 2.294 and the evo 3 is 2.6. Geom is also slightly different with surikarn shock towers. |
12th Feb is the 5th round of the S/W series which is being held in Plymouth. So this is at "pasty land" . Why Colin , Are you down this way.

all I can say is I had the evo4 for a month. Spent all kinds of money to make it fast and it was still slow. I bought a 415msx the car is way better and faster, it compares with my xray 05 just as good.

Setup for a spool on carpet with Rubber tyres
Does any one have a tried setup for a spool indoors on carpet with rubber tyres ? I tried it last weekend and the car was an animal !! I would like to get a good setup for a spool as i think it will be fast if i can get it right. Any info would be good.
Cheers |

the evoIII has a floating drivetrain. its a single piece shaft that goes from one gear box into the other. the evoIII uses the original suspension from tamiya. the evoIV has a 3 piece drivetrain with a 3 or 5 piece aluminum bulkhead (instead of graphite gear boxes) with gear covers. they are easy access bulkheads so 4 screws for each bulkhead and you can service your diff/spool/one way. evoIV MS also comes standard with the lw suspension. - chris |

Colin,
Can you answer your own question about additives , what would you plan on using on a slightly below grip carpet tack. |

Cheers Colin.
Here's the deal , you use my tyres and I use your additive. |
