hey simon,

i tqd and won the 23turn novice last friday. had a blast driving my evo 4. right now, the car is set up nice and im confident with how it handles the tight corners of our local track here. thanks for the advice...... by the way, i notice that the anti roll bar holder seems to touch the dog bone. should i just shave it a bit or is this just normal?

GREAT to hear about your result. Well Done. In regard to the anti roll bar holder, it is a pretty tight fit but I can't remember exactly what happened with my car. I don't believe that it made contact, but I seriously took those things off pretty quickly so I honestly don't know exactly.

I think that the Carbon Shaft for the Evo IV is a very rare item. They are try to stock them at Speedtech as you know, as well as Rainbow Ten and Jason's Store. Those I know of but that's about it unfortunately. I really want to pick one up too, but at the moment speed is the least of my problems. I just need to get down to the track for a bit of running now that I'm doing Modified Full-time. I seem to be having an issue of serious on power understeer and its really driving me nutz. I tried a spool up front and I didn't really like it with my 9x1. I will put the oneway in again and I think that most of the issues will be solved with that, but at the same time I feel as if my suspension settings may be the issue.

Just need to get out and test more really!!

Friday I failed 2 heats due to the cells coming out, and the second time the weight of the cells flying out wrenched my Novak GTX apart...

I have chamfered the battery slots a lot so they sit deeper, but still not happy with the battery clamp bar... Definately a huge weak spot...

just catching up with the recent posts, I've fixed mine by using two shock ends (the eyelets) and screwing them to the chass where the side brace for stick packs used to be. I'll post pictures a tad later when I get back out to work.

Sounds great!

Are you gonna get an Evo IV MS now?

JimmyMac 01-31-2005 04:10 PM

Well... I want them for my EvoIV...

Give it a few months after the Evo4 MS is released to start seeing the MS bulkheads:nod: because I ordered MS bulkheads for my 415 two weeks after the MS kit came out in Japan..... so it should be about that long after the release of the MS Evo4:nod:... but they will be about 100$ I would guess..since thats about the price that I had to pay for the 415MS stuff:cry:

:(

That's a bummer, but at least you should be able to buy them seperately. What's the deal with the bomber shaft, is that std with the MS or are we just dreaming??

F. Alonso 01-31-2005 04:44 PM

Dave, do you know if the EvoIVMS comes with the 0 degree rear uprights?? I just figure that the 415MS did so why shouldn't the Evo have that too.
