Any recommendations for an Evo IV on carpet?

Shocks? Sway Bars? Geometry?

I used either AE yellow or AE purple springs up front and AE copper in the rear. With AE 70wt up front and AE 50wt rear.

I also used 415 suspension blocks all around the whole car since they sit the suspension down lower. I think the blocks were C or B/A front and A/A rear.

Short wheelbase for more car rotation. I can't remember if I had 4degree blocks on the car too. That's all I could remember off the top of my head.

Walawala stores on ebay had some of these last week, but I think they are all sold out now. I got one for a mate.

I found a great combo that works well. Instead of lowering the roll center like KilRuf does with the 415 blocks, I raise it. I have the Evo4 blocks and I run 1.6mm of shims under the blocks and remove the 2mm spacer under the inner camber link.

Shocks, AE yellow up front with AE 70wt, and in the rear it is AE blue with AE 60wt oil. Swaybars, blue up front and yellow/stock in the rear.

This is for a oneway with mod (yep, our grip is that high!) The car handles exceptionally flat and very stable.

thanks for that advice, will give it a try, do you just shim the front block of the rear as well? Whats the one way mod?

I think he means this is using a one-way with a modified motor.

Ah right, I will be running a V10R Twin Turbo Stock with bearings, schumacher carpet dragons or T27 Belts..

I put .8mm shims under the front block at the front suspension to give a little kickup. It helps the initial steering and feels better through the corners. In the back I have a total of 8 .8mm shims under the front and rear blocks (2 at each screw) for a total of 1.6mm. If you do this, make sure you take out the 2mm inner camber link spacer.

I've looked all over the 'net and can't seem to find a good starting point for a carpet foam tire setup for the Evo IV. I am planning on running it in the brushless class at the Novak race in January and could use all the help I can get. I was thinking of setting it up like a MS, since it has the same suspension, but don't really know if that's the way to go. Oh, and this will be my first attempt at running foam tires on a touring car (Jump right in, my dad always said.), so some good tire advice would go a long way also. I have seen lots of info for rubber tire setups, just very little for foam tire setups. Why is this?
