Default Snowbirds ready

Updating now. What's a good starting point for blinky 17.5 no drag brakes but some push brake? Also can someone please explain the motor and brake Hz in Fisher Price terms? Thanks.

We need more info on the size or track you run for gearing info.

The switching frequency is effectively used to adjust the torque of the motor, the lower the frequency, the more low-mid end grunt you get, but there is a trade off as top speed will be reduced.

In Mod I run 8KHz as the motors have lots of low end as it is.
For most of my 13.5 boosted tracks I run 2KHz as this seems to help fire it our of the corners more.
At the same track a guy who had a Black Diamond in 17.5 (I've never run blinky in TC's) also ran 8KHz as when I turned it down to either 4KHz or 2KHz he said it felt like it had reduced the top end
Perhaps if he had installed taller gearing it might have helped.

Start with 8KHz, then try 4KHz and see if it can still hold the top speed.

I'll come back when I've spoke to someone about gearing

The most common booster in the UK is the RC Dynamics one;

http://www.rcdynamics.co.uk/Products.html

It's used by a LOT of people, including Elliott Harper in the last worlds A final, so it's got what it takes.
Haven't heard of one failing yet either.

Good day!

Finally, got hold of the wireless Bluetooth module for programming the ESC. It's tiny. I can now program my speedo on my Mac, wirelessly. I guess we just have to wait for the android app so it'll be a lot easier to tinker it with smartphones than having a laptop around. I just hope Per will consider having the iOS platform.

Cheers to all.

Anyone using Black Diamond LV for 1:10 2wd or are you all using Black Diamond BD?

I replaced my Hobbywing 3.1 with a LV, but I can't find any power even close to the Hobbywing 3.1 with it.

Would need to know more about the setup your using.

Bd is as fast as everything else but delivers it's power smoothly so u can make it aggressive with some small changes.

How are your lap times against your old esc?
