JDXray, Lift the chassis in the center with a blade. If one tire lifts before the other then your "tweaked". If you have a tbar car then tighten the tweak screws in the front of the tbar to counter the lifting tire. Keep lifting and adjusting a little at a time till they are the same. If it is a carpet knife dampening tube style car then adjust the side spings from the main chassis to the rear pod. Also check that if lifting from the front that you dont have a lot of slop in your kingpins causing uneven lift. Jon |
Yes, the screws that are attached to the springs are what you adjust. I would back them both off till they just hit and then start from there. Just so your not binding anything up.

choosing a 1/12 car
Hi, I am currently racing 1/10 sedan on carpet. Just want to get a 1/12 as well. Which 1/12 will you recommend? Trinity Reflex? RC12L4? Carpet Knife? I am looking for a car that is durable, competitive right out of the box (I don't want to add a lot of hopups to make the car competitive), less setup and abundant parts availability.
I am new to 1/12. Do I need special servo and equipment for 1/12? Is there any tools for measing toe in/out? My Hudy 1/10 setup tool is useless for measuring toe in/out of 1/12 right? Is QC2 good for 1/12? |

Is QC2 good for 1/12? Next I would suggest the 12L4 as it will be supported by almost any shop that races the 12th scale... its tough, easy to build and you don't need anything else when you buy it. Next, I like the JR 3550 servo( yes you need a mini servo).. its fairly cheap (62.95 at my LHS) and fits like a glove in either car... Now, if you can find a 12L3 real cheap, the get that and the PRC Quad 12 conversion... then you will have an awesome car... thats my 2 cents... |

1/12 pan cars?
I have just recently gotten into this whole R/C thang by getting a XXX-NT this summer and haven't gotten a chance to race but now everybody is closing down adn am now looking for indoor. my question is can you run a regular pan car in both road course and oval? there are a few carpet courses in the area and I would hate to spend money on one style and relize that I would rather run the other instead.. I guess what I'm really asking is there a good dual purpose car on the market and if so what are the purpose? Thanks
|
You could run a 12l4 or similar car in oval, but it won't work as well as a dedicated oval car would...
