sounds great to me!! I think it would be great if me you and Doug could share a room. This would allow us to share ideas to make the Q12 faster.

speedxl 06-08-2004 03:03 PM

I'll pm you my number so we can start the process for the birds give him a call later I already got him thinking about it!:D

Adam Hartzell 06-08-2004 03:08 PM

Its still 3-4 months away but I can't wait for carpet season. I will find my set-up from carpet nats and that should give you a good starting point for a really high bite track.

Adam trust me I aint hurting but definatly we will work together to get the cars better.
I missed two qualifiers at this last birds and on the third one I started charging late because I was helping a newbie with his car and I didnt pay attention to the clock. well needless to say I was on a top 3 run for the main ( they were anoucing tq pace ) and I dump with 30 seconds to go.
in the wednesday club race I finishe 8th overall.

Ray haung will vouce for me If I could have should have deal! thats why next year an alrm clock with a 300 watt amplifier and 3 12 inch subwoofers and tweeters balaring out rise and shine meat head is in order!

Adam Hartzell 06-08-2004 03:19 PM

you won't need an alarm clock if I'm in the room. I think that I slept all of 5 hour during the week of Carpet Nats. Chances are I won't sleep during the birds because I will be running at least 2 classes. I only ran 1 at nats.

speedxl 06-08-2004 03:23 PM

I ran 2 also but I goofed around for the first 3 days and when racing stared I was wore out. the scedule is grueling mike boylin I think mentioned something about sceduling the class for oval and onroad in a way that it doesnt kill everyone this year pluss it will allow for guys that run oval and road course to cross over and race both visa versa!
I talk to you later gotta go home!

Adam Hartzell 06-08-2004 03:24 PM

I forgot about oval. Count me in for 4 classes then!!!

johnnywhopper 06-09-2004 05:37 AM

4 classes at the birds.....you're nuts. plan on living off of caffeine tablets w/ chocolate covered coffee beans for desert. It's the only way you'll survive. And after it's all over, plan on taking a couple extra days off work, because you're going to sleep for about 48 hours straight.

or maybe i'm just a wuss. lol.

New to 12th scale

Whats Up All,
I'm new to 12th scale but definitely not new to R/C. I just picked up an 12L4 to keep me busy over the winter and to keep the reflexs sharp for 1/8th scale. I've been reading through the earlier pages of this thread but was wondering if there were other good sources of info, Anything I must read/know for 12th scale. As well, where does everyone shop online??
I know......support my LHS....trust me I do but parts for this car tend to be sparce for now. I'm loking for a shop with good prices. I know about kthobbies
Thanks for your time and input

try these guys they are cheaper then tower they will beat thier prices on mostly everything ask for jim search their site if its not on there they will get it like yesterday and they stock a ton of 12 scale stuff.

fast-ho-cars 06-10-2004 11:02 AM

maybe cheaper that TOWER Hobbies but southeastrc is higher than most other sites

they have 299 on a CRC 3.2 CK......you can get it direct from CRC for 225

KThobbies.com beats them on all of their other 12th kit posted prices.....AE 12L4. Relfex 12.......etc.......

speedxl 06-10-2004 12:56 PM

dude this isnt a biding war now on the best hobby store If you call in they will match the prices of anybody pluss I doubt they are making anything on that, unless they have a direct hookup.
