Jeff, do you have any pictures of that mounted body? Im about to mount up an RC8 and wanted to see what your description looks like in photo.

I'll post pics tomorrow. Anything specific you're curious about?

A bit pricy, but I still ordered some. At least the dollar is a little stronger compared to yen these days.

I ordered as well. I hope that two rears and two fronts come in the sets. If I ordered only one of each I'm gonna be bummed because I have to order again.

I hope this shows whatever you're looking for. Honestly, to me it just looks like another 1/12 car! I guess I don't pay much attention to how others mount their bodies. I'm still pretty new to this 1/12 game, but I'm an open book and will gladly share what I have learned-- good or bad.

Use a tweak station. Borrow one if necessary.

I was using the coin trick until one of our local fast guys (gubbs3 on here), suggested I really should use a tweak station. I'm fortunate that my home track, MMR in Minneapolis MN, has tools such as tweak stations and a tire truer available for racers to use. After learning to use the tweak station properly, my car has been noticeably more consistent. I was just being lazy using the coins.

The coin trick is fine for a super quick check, but if time allows, just get the car on a tweak board.

Question when using the tweak station are u guys unscrewing the pod links?

Disconnect the damper tubes.

Don't worry they come in pairs.

I wish there were set-up wheels for my Pro 10/1:10 pan.

1/12 set up wheels

A friend had these and I have hunted for them for years now. Thanks for the Link

Those setup wheels look awesome. Thanks for sharing the link! If I had an extra $85 I'd order a set.

Thank you Jeff, that is fine. I was really wanting to see how aggressive the "side height" (profile) of the car looked when cutting it above the normal cut lines making the top of the body closer to the track.

Yes I was for a few years up till 2 weeks ago now running the rs pro black edition 1s. It's a bit heavier but noticeable difference driving on the track. My dyno also shows between 3-4% more power on a 17.5t.

What I do to make this easier is mount the body to the height I want it over the tires. Then take the body off and put the car on a setup board (Bigger works better). Use some of spacers to lift the chassis up until the bottom of the chassis is even with the tip of a sharpie pen laying on the setup board with the cap off. Then you just put the body back on, hold the sharpie pen down on the board as you draw the bottom cut line around the body.

LonnyJ1950 01-14-2018 11:25 AM

Are you all cutting above the trim line? Isn't/was't there a rule that said no cutting above the trim line?
