I do the same thing, but use a piece of track marker or something for the start/end points on the turning circles. The use the dual rate to get the overall amount of steering set, and then finally a bit of expadential for the initial turn in feel. A bit of a ball ache to set up, but once done, it's done!

Hi Guys,

I have picked up a xray x11 pan car with a novak gtb speedo and 10.5t motor

i was hoping someone could explain to me how to work out the FDR and what the ideal range is?

from this i hope to buy the correct range of pinions and run it over winter

I buy my foams pre trued as well if that makes any difference...

This is dependent on a few things , I was in the same position as you a couple of weeks ago ,

You need to think about track size , motor and speedo combo , and then finally tyre size

in 1/12th racing the guys talk in rollout , not FDR , this is how far the car rolls for 1 turn of the pinion ,

I am too lazy for this and use Gearchart on my Iphone to work it out LOL

good luck and i hope you enjoy 1/12th racing as much as me:sweat::sweat:

Top man

Just downloaded a similar sort of thing will make my life a little easier :D

I run the same motor with tekin RS and rollout at about 50mmpr but we have a small track so I guess you could go higher. Just remember that the tyres are always changing size so check regularly to keep the same gearing. I use gear it app on the iPhone. Great just input the spur and tyre size and rollout your after and the pinion is worked out. Best rc app I have got. It takes a while to get used to 12th gearing but it's quite logical once you understand it. Great class to race though.

For rollout:

Tire Diameter * Pi * Pinion / Spur

Anyone know of a simple wall charger that will charge at 1C for a li-fe 6.6v 200mah receiver pack?

Hi guys

I want to change the wierd shock on my Corally 12SL , does any one know if the Xray X11 shock will work ????

Thanks Phil

Doesn't the 12SL come with an Associated-CRC style VCS shock? That's the most common type and works great properly built. That said, 12th scale shocks are usually interchangeable, generally by changing rod ends and adjusting the length. I've been using Hot Bodies shocks because they are a bladder type and easier to build, though I may have to switch since I see Hot Bodies is discontinuing the Cyclone 12. Since the XII shock seems to use the same ends as the Hot Bodies, I suspect it will snap right in, requiring only a bit of adjustment in length

I have a CRC Generation X. Do i have to use CRC tires due to offset issues? What tires and wheel can i use? Thanks.

Which is the best ype of shock ?? The corally type or tye bladder type ??

I find the corally a bit difficult to build and then after a day of running it is full of air

I am used to the bladder typedue to my touring car experience and i race a T3 so i know Xrays quality is awsome

Thanks again Phil

Quick question,

If I run a lipo receive pack (7.4v 200 mah losi) directly to the reciever, wouldn't I need a HV servo or regulator?

I see people using the JR micro servos with these packs no problem, just worried my new KO won't hold up. Thanks!
