Does JR offer a replacement, or are they thinking we'll just change over to the digital? What are we gonna do? I've got four 3550's, but you KNOW that eventually I'll need something else...

Interesting about the digital servos and centering OD. I've not used them myself, but I was helping a friend get his car sorted out and we tried TWO different digital servos and neither one seemed to center consistently.

Got mine. It's already at the track... Very nice compilation, thanks Rich.

My 3550 has probably seen a fair share of abuse then, because it doesn't seem to want to center properly. Maybe now that I hit fewer boards per lap I might consider getting another, if I can find one. Otherwise I might have to try the Futaba route.

I just checked Stormer (my LHS as it turns out...) and they no longer even list the 3550 nor the replacement case or gearset they used to show. That doesn't bode well...

your best bet for JR info might be Horizon, as i think they own JR? maybe? not sure.

they currently show the gearset and case, but servo itself is b/o...

Airtronics just discontinued the servo I have been using for a hundred years it seems...the 94145.

Does anyone know of a fast non digital high quality mini servo? Compared to a quality analog servo digital servos do nothing for you other than hurt your run time.

I think I'm using the JR3421. It works great.

The 3421 is a Digital and it pretty slow. I use those as aileron servos in my R/C planes. 1/12th cars need a servo that is .12 sec/60deg or faster. The 94145 was .09 sec.

I was just getting ready to ask it the 94145 was any good for 1/12, I guess Adrian answered that one for me. I have a brand new one that a buddy of mine gave me a while back that I had forgotten about. I think it's a aileron servo aswell.

949 has been my favorite for years. Reason being, rock solid centering, metal output gear and digital, which is nice for my KO helios!! All models on 2 channels, high speed now!!!!

I dont run an Rx pack and digital servos can eat up 5 -10 sec of run time over analog servos. The 94145 always ran like a champ and centered perfect. There has to be some good non digital mini servos out there.
