Yes that's an Intrepid

Here's your ToJ, and something else some won't remember. Guess what kind of car?

nf_ekt 08-22-2006 03:33 PM

Bolink?

JayBee 08-22-2006 03:35 PM

When I raced 1/12 and 1/10 pan in the late 80's and early 90's the cars looked like real cars (Nissan GTP, Jag XJ10/12, Porsche 962, etc. Now they look like charicatures. When I saw a Speed 12 body on display when I was checking out getting back into the hobby I had to ask about it--no way I figured that was a ROAR-legal body. Surprise.

I agree 100%. I last raced 1/12 in '88 and when I got back into the scale a month ago I was amazed at how far out of scale the available bodies had become. I've looked everywhere and cannot find a somewhat realistic body.

I have no problem giving up some aero advantage. Anyone know where some "old school" bodies are still available?

looks like an old delta but the front end looks trc

Good guess, the car has alot of Delta parts on it. It's not really a fair question anyway since the car was mostly a west coast thing. It is a RaceCo Hybrid, from the 1980's. The front end is RaceCo and worked pretty well, the final version had a proprietary motor pod.

wait till I get home I'll show you some 12th scale bodies

I would have guess Bolink too. The BBR Lotec body brought back from memories. I used to have the 1/10th BBR Lotec on my white nylon RC10L....with a wing on the rear pod :D

dr_hfuhuhurr 08-22-2006 05:52 PM

White nylon? I thought everyone died those?

bugsee2 08-22-2006 06:21 PM

That car is a lucas agitator. The car was based on a delta p-12 spider. The

The car was bascially after market parts made for the Delta P-12. They also had a tenth scale car based on the Delta vilan.

I have a p-12 one with the rear shock struts. I will try and scan the add for the car from an 80"s magazine.

Guess you didn't see my post. The car is a RaceCo Hybrid not an Agitator. Made by the Aguirre brothers of slot car fame, it was a west coast thing but lots of people ran them. They were very competetive with the 12Ls of the day, especially when the track was bumpy.
