the KO949 is a digital servo which i understand use more power than the analog servos. So for a 4 cell 3300mah 8 min mod race.. would an analog servo be better as i saw almost every 1/12 car on our local track starts to slow down in the last 1-2 minutes so any amount of energy saving would be good.
or the KO949 is just as good as the analog servos when it comes to power consumption?

I am quite new in 1/12...

if I run 4 cells, will there be enough power for a 23T stock ?
do I need RX pack, if I am using hitec analog mini servo ?

if I going to get RX pack, how long do they typically last ?

4 cells will give you plenty of rip for 12th.

You don't need a receiver pack. If you're having problems with runtime, a receiver pack will help.

du bro link

Hi,

I found ths du bro link in a RC Airplane shop. It works really

I have both kinds of servos and there doesn't seem to be any significant difference in run time between them. I like the 949 because it is fast and centers well.

Hi Guys, I am getting into 1/12th racing. what chassis do you recommend buying. I was thinking about buying the Hara Hammer kit what car is this best combined with? Or is there another kit you would reccommend?

Thanks Any help is appreciated.

Take a look through the last couple of pages of this thread, and you'll find some good answers.

Receiver Packs

I realize the topic of receiver packs came up only a few posts ago, but I am also new to 1/12th scale racing and want some more details. In what situations is a receiver pack required? I plan on running either stock or 19T, so I assume a receiver pack is not needed? How about if I use a personal transponder? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

dakrat 04-16-2005 07:25 PM

rx pack is not needed in stock racing. rx is when u need every single second of run time in mod racing. pt plugs right into the rx and no need for pack.

protc3 04-16-2005 07:28 PM

only time i needed a receiver pack was in low turn mod.your PT shouldnt hurt you.i run 19 turn and gear my motor to the moon with a personal transponder and had plenty of runtime left after the race with no receiver pack.my run times were the same in the beginning of the race as at the end.however,in mod i am always looking to only use the battery for the motor to have the least amount of power loss at the end of the race so i use a receiver pack then.hope this helps:cool:

When ROAR allows 3600/3700/3800/???? battery packs, the receiver packs will likely be passe.
