I just got back from a Florida State Race in West Palm Beach. It was on an old bumpy outdoor hockey rink that was asphalt with a layer of latex roller hockey surface and a liberal dose of VHT...in other words...MONDO TRACTION!

Schumacher swept the race with a win in Stock (Jeff Flasig), TQ'd and win in 19T (Troy Schafer), and a win in Mod (Troy again).

It was a very cool race as you has as much traction as on carpet (I saw a few cars traction roll) but you had to keep the suspension soft for all the bumps.

A big thanks to Tim Potter, MDI racing and FSEARA for putting on a great race!

There were two. One was very slightly modified kit setup and the other was a little more radical.

I will post them tomorrow...

Haha I ran at Peel-it last friday for some asphalt practice, and I'm pretty sure there wasn't any less traction there than the novak race ! It was nuts. There was so much grip the car seemed to keep turning and never square out of the corner like it had too much steering, yet at the same time it could push off the track . I think the problem is the huge building its in keeps all the rain off it . Needless to say I didn't change anything on the car so I didn't dial my self out of every other asphalt track out there .

Sounds like SoCal We just tired something pretty radical last week there. Super low roll centers, slightly stiffer springs, and no swaybars with a spool. Massive steering along with the major grip. We did have guys traction rolling a number of times and tires were completely shot after 2 runs. One guy actually ripped a tire right on the edge at the sidewall.

Haha thats like foam tire setup. Yeah if I were to dial my car in at Peel-it I know I would end up with some really funky stuff on it. Probably run a oneway or a diff to smooth things out there and give better off throttle steering. Stiffen the front spring... 1mm droop... who knows !
