Its just suprising they made it such a tight fit. I like my packs to stay looking good, so I put shrink over the labels. I wouldn't think it would make the pack that much larger.

if it's so aweful why not just remove the battery strap system and cut slots for strapping tape??
Who is saying its so aweful, I am just asking if anyone else has noticed tight fitting batteries, or if its something I am doing wrong. Strapping tape sucks the big one!

For those of you running batts with the clear shrink try putting a washer under the battery post. If that doesnt quite work then you could take a dremel and grind a bit away from the battery post so the batteries will clear.

Sounds to me like the battery slots are not filed at a 45 degree angle. Not only for clearance but not to cut the cells.

I did take and file the slots when I built the car. Its not a height problem, but a width problem. Guess I will have to shave a little off the posts.

I have 2 missions and both will accept 3000's and GP 3300's with a extra shrink wrap on the cells. It is a snug fit though.

Almost got the Mission ready for this weekend. Looking forward to getting the car on the track...PW wanted to ask you a body question. I saw that many of the racers were using the Losi Alfa at the Novak. I know from owning a Losi that if I ran foam tires on it I could not run the wide wheel hexes. Would a person be able to run a Mission with the stock hubs and use a Losi Alfa?

Going to run the car at the Region 8 Carpet race and would like to get a body that woul help the car out on the fuzzy stuff... thanks

Jeff they were using the Alpha body at Novak because it worked better with the rubber tires and carpet track. They tell me it doesn't much matter on foams. In fact, the stratus 2.0 is probably faster.

I know I ran my 2.0 on my losi with foams because the alfa was to narrow. That new losi body looks interesting too...they said more steering than the alfa even...mmmm

Default Mission Battery Assembly

Whilst on the subject of batteries, I assemble my packs in the chassis. This makes sure that all the cells sit nicely in the chassis cut outs. If you remove the battery posts and mount the on the underside of the car you can turn the car upside down and use it as a battery jig. I use hot melt glue to glue the cells together and then solder the battery bars on with the battery out of the chassis.

Greetings from down under!

anyone used the new roll centre kit released by schumacher U.K?

we received ours this week, but as I already have done the mod havent picked one up.

has pre cut raiser plates and alloy blocks included, havent had a chance to check out how they have done it, nor spoken to the guys at the factory to find out.

Im ordering some accer bearings today, hubs size and also for the layshaft. I already run Tamiya blue seals for the diff outdrives.

I will let everyone know how it works out, but I was certainly inpressed with their customer service. The bearings for the hubs are their new polyamide colored seals they are rated as abec 5 so should be silky smooth.

the flanged bearings for the layshaft are teflon sealed and again abec 5.

check em out

Hey Jeff.....I'm not sure if the losi body will fit with the foams, but I personally like the original protoform stratus on foams. I will however try both losi bodies at the snowbirds

I am running the HPI Accord right now, next body will be something else different. I am not much for being like everyone else.

King or PW will the low roll kit be sold here in the US? I am in the need to perform the mod and having a kit would be great!
