MI3 ARMS
ARE THE MI3 ARMS DIFFERENT THAN THE ARMS ON THE EC?
IF SO WILL THEY FIT ON THE EC?
I DON'T REALLY WANT TO MESS WITH CAR TO MUCH. IT'S PRETTY MUCH DIALED FOR STOCK OR 19 TURN.
IT WAS JUST THOUGHT........

Also the Mi3 arms are narrower at the outer end where the rear upright mounts - you will loose teh wheelbase adjustment if you use them on your EC.

They're a little more reinforced too.
What's the best belts to use on the MI3 for mod (LRP X-11 4.5)? Do they grey belts hold up or are the standard black ones the go?

Make sure your set screw on the pinion can't touch the belt. When the car is running, the belts don't exactly stay in a straight line. They deflect up and down. The front belt can hit the set screw and start to wear away the teeth and make them fray sometimes.

I got an xray 007 to try untill the mi3 came out to replace my aging mi2 ec. The first problem i had was seized bearings. The second problem i had was 2 broken bulkheads!!! i would have imagined the shock tower to break before the bulkheads at least. All in all i have never had a problem with my mi2 ec exept for the driveshaft pins but this was easily solved with steel driveshafts
