Any touring car is very capable of taking any win, or "Xray challenge". 90% of the car is the driver and his/her skills in driving and tuning to all the conditions.

The only thing that I can see that might be a problem with the assassin is the spur gear. It hangs out the back of the car past the rear shock tower. If you were to get hit in the rear, you could possibly damage the teeth on the spur gear. But other than that, it looks very nice.

Was at the bird's this week and picked up the new Xray brochure that includes the T1r. The kit looks really nice for entry level racer. What I want to know is why the two Xray drivers took each other out in the mod main ? I think it was Martin Hudy... and another Xray guy, just do not know who. Not sure... but if anyone can shed some light on this...

There was some word out last year, right after the touring car worlds that Yokomo was developing a new car that included a gear train from the motor/spur to the rear diff, and a belt from the motor/spur to the front diff/one-way. Haven't heard anything new since, other than their new MR4-TC Special Ver2.

I noticed on the basic setup sheet for the C-hubs that is calls for a front one-way and fixed pulley. I also have the one-way pulley. Any advantage on the EVO2 running dual one-ways? I'm used to having dual one-ways on my other cars...

There is no noticeable difference between the solid shaft and the one way shaft on-power. There is a difference though when you are off-power going into a corner. The one-ways will allow you to corner better with no brake applied. With the solid shaft, you will feel the drag of the motor more, which allows you to dive into a corner deeper. I like the solid shaft because of that reason and also because there is less rotating mass causing the drive train to spool up a bit faster.

SoCal is my home track. I also visit many of the parking lot tracks in the area. When will you be down here again?

to check for a "rooted" chassis i normally pull apart my car, and put it on a flat surface (piece of 8mm think galss in my case) and see if it rocks back n forth..

just an idea
