At first glance, the look is a huge change than what we are accustomed with the T1 & Evo2. But with the tub, that leaves so much open for lightening adventures. The center support strut between the top deck and the tub is new, must be to help strengthen the car and prevent too much flex. I was thinking of using an Evo2 top deck to replace it.

That's exactly what it is. For the budget minded, entry level racer who really can't put out a whole lot of cash for the Evo2.

Its really not that much cheaper than the Evo 2 considering I can get an Evo 2 for $260.00...Only $30 Difference

Keep in mind that we are talking about US dollars, not Aussie dollars.

Agreed

Even in Aussie $s thats only $60 difference. Why would you bother with the T1R ???

What's better suite for high speed, high traction traction track: Pillowball or C-hub suspension?
For technical track layout?

In the states, there is much more than a 60 dollar difference between the Evo2 and the T1R. In fact, the exact price of the T1R has not been released here yet. But it may be in the low $200's USD. If you are able to get a great deal from a hobby shop either locally or overseas, get it! But choosing between the two cars is up to the consumer and the wallet book.

zombie for mod high traction technical you got to go with the c-hubs. thats what it was designed for. it gives you the extra steering you need from the center of the corner out. pivot ball wont get the job done. trust me
