the carpet is very smooth, so i dont see how the stiff suspenion would be making it skip imperfections.
the reason i havent tried much of a softer set up, is because i prefer a stiff car, and right now the car is pretty good, with a softer set up i dont want to be lazy like it was when i ran stock.
i am afraid of the car traction rolling as well, and also the chassis hitting on the sides due to body roll, which the car has considrably more than the tc3's xxx's and even the missions. also my track is a rather high speed carpet track (here is a pic http://www.bigboystoyshobbies.com/big12track.html of the current layout). its basically a bunch of chicanes, most of them high speed, and also some very high speed u-turns.

JeffC... I did much worse than you... In stock foam, I got 2nd in the F main! and I think I got last in the mod foam class. (And I do mean Last!) I didn't really expect to do much better than that. It was the first time driving the TC in over 6 months.
RCFiend... The accentric blocks affect the amount that the camber and caster change during the suspension movement. (middle and exit of corners). I recently spoke with Ron Atomik (A factory driver for Xray) and he told me that the higher the hinge pin is, the less the camber will change. This will feel like less steering during a corner. If the pin is raised at the front of the car, the more caster it will have, which will also feel like less steering during the corner.
Having the pin lowered at the front of the car, will give the car less caster during the turn, which will feel like more steering.
So far, I have really only run mine on carpet with the pin in the stock location, or 1 hole lower in the front.

LOL.....yeah, it's Ron Atomic!
The higher the hinge pin is the less responsive steering is. Setting the hinge pin to the lowest setting is very responsive and active. I usually use the latter setting. It is an acquired driving style, turn-in is blinding fast and at first I t-boned turns. After awhile you will adapt to the increased speed through the turns and make up time where it is most often lost.

The rules should be simple: All the equipment is allowed, but the car should be an Xray (uhm... that sounds me a little resembles.... a TC competition, but all cars were Xray).
P.S: Sweeet track, can be fine to see more of the track.

Mike, we carry some stuff and what we don't have we can usually get within that time frame. www.htufrederickmd.com Ask for Jeff or I can let you know if we have it.
