Default Discussions with myself.

Well I volunteered at Octoberfast and got to have a look see at all the cars. All of the guys cars were running c hub f/r on foam with violets springs and 50 weight shock oil. Now here is the bizarre part. I witnessed on of the factory guy replacing his 6 ceel chassis. It was actually tweeked! Yeah I know ! Appearantly the swiss cheese chassis develops a tweak over time under high load carpet racing. Go figure! .. So I check my chassis plate and sure enough ..I was tweeked to! Well I managed to put my old chassis (1st Gen) and old deck and whalla ! Carpet handling dream! The car is so much stiffer in it's original configuration. Which makes me wonder why they went 6 cell on the evo 2? Any insight? Is because the Xray is primarly designed for asphalt use?
Anyone please comment!

simulated wood- are u saying the non-evo chassis is the better one for carpet?

and it doesnt make any sense to me why anyone would want a flexable car on carpet, or at least that flexable.

also i know the sticker on the tire said ellegi, but those looked like TRC tires to me, anyone know what they were running?

huh.. u think then that ellegi would make a plaid tire for them to use on carpet, if xray is going through the trouble of racing in all in triple crown races and other carpet stuff.

teamAE, the Evo2 and T1 are made for asphalt!!! I set up my car running a mod and if I switch to stock, it's dialed.

teamAE :: You have asked a similar question two other times I think. Buy one and see for yourself what you are missing out on....mmmm-kay.

You will have access to setup sheets in the VIP room and excellent support here in this thread, like other models do in their respective threads.

Give it a go!

New parts pics are yup on MY TSN, new front casterr block for the c hub setup (6 and 0 degree), new front shocktower with 1 more set of holes further out and all the holes are lower so you can set the ride height higher without having to crank the threaded bit right down and alloy suspension balls for the std piviot ball suspension. Rick, I like the aluminum balls. They should shed alot of weight off the car (like it needs it) and allow more or better weight placement. Downside, they will most likely break much easier. I keep looking at the aluminum shock bodies too, just for the looks not performance.

I'm picking up the stock T1 chassis and top deck for the Evo. I liked it better then the 6 cell chassis. Less flex. I race on carpet almost exclusively so I need the car to be solid. My T1 was great on carpet. I need to get the Evo back to the way my T1 was.
