Well, you knew this question was coming after this weekends indoor championship. What are some setups that were use this weekend? Pref. Mod setups. The car is always dialed in stock. Thanks guys!!!

.50 fronts
5 degree blocks
30,000wt lube on the kingpins
Upper brace long arm, lower carbon brace w/ center cut out
all shims back (max caster) 8 degrees
.25 degrees camber
servo up
CRC Magenta Front 1.61 Glued
Gold Center spring
White Sides set "dead" .5 degrees of deflection in dead spot
30wt oil in shock
30,000wt in the tubes
CRC Hard Pink Rear 1.65
Batteries Forward
Ride Height 3.5mm in front and rear
1.5mm of pod drop
black art body
LRP SXX Speedo, profile 1
LRP X-12 4.10 24/96

Are you talking about .5mm of spring away from pod plate? The dead area is the area the spring is not touching the pod plate right?

I think he means the rear pod rotates .5 degrees before one of the side springs touches. He mentioned using a tweak station to measure this some pages back.

Yes that is what I was asking. I read about that info. earlier. It does seem to be the way to go now. In the past I remember it not being good that the springs did not just touch the pod.

Ok I'm a little confused. How do you tweak the car if the springs are off of the rear pod?

This question puzzles me as well, but I remember reading a setup sheet where .030 shims are used underneath the springs during the tweaking process, then removed when the car is tweaked properly.

Anyone with a better explanation of how to tweak the car properly with a "dead area" beneath the side springs???

I am guessing by weight transfer but I don't put a lot of faith in the spring no touch. I think it is a bit of BS with a laugh.
