yes.
some time ago and for a time, the 3342 plate was out of production. But then CRC recognized the demand and started offering them again. I purchased one recently for stiffening up the pod on my WGT. It's a slick way to stiffen the rear pod while still having easy access to the motor and lots of room for the wiring that feeds the motor.

Hi Guys.

I'm already done building the XL, I've set everything box stock and added the aluminum left pod and the 4mm upper brace.

Electronics already installed but I'm getting confused with the rollout and gearing stuff.

I have 5 motor choices as of now:

21.5 BL =
13.5t BL =
17.5 BL =
10.5 BL =
5.5 BL =

Any tips on what starting rollout for these? Will be running in a large asphalt indoor track.

Thanks.

What's a good starting roll out for 17.5 Blinky? I'll be running a Tekin RS with either a Trinity Duo1 17.5 or a Reedy Sonic 17.5. Track Size similar to snowbirds.

Thanks,

Take a look at what other are running. If the touring guy run 6.5t, you may run the same if you are new . once you get used to the feeling of a pan car, run 2~2.5t faster. This is conservative method you may try

Thanks,
I am running the 3.5 motor and a rollout of 3.4. I think the track size is close.
Motor is everything in rollout. I am not sure about those motors and how to set rollout. What is ripping for one motor will be a dog with another.

Ball park roll outs:
17.5 = 105mm
13.5 = 93mm
10.5 = 82mm
5.5 = 40mm'ish

Hi guys.
New to the forum and want to start in 1/12 next season so busy looking at different cars.
I can get a CRC Gen XL for a fair price but want to know from you guys although the answer might be biased, is the CRC Gen XL still a competitive car or is it worth just getting some of the newer models?
It will be run on outdoor asphalt running 13.5 blinky and mod.
Thank you for any information

Any 12th scale released in the past 6 years from major manufacturer are still very competitive. Most of the fast driver in our track beat our new car with ease. Just get to know your car. I have mine for sell you can think I am bias to sell mine. Take a look, price negotiable .
