New gearing suggestions?
I am new to RC, so I am still learning things. I am running my TC3 with stock gearing, 72T spur with a 25T pinion for 19T motors. I am wanting to start experimenting with new gearing to help learn more about the car.
Can anyone recommend some gearing or links to guides on gearing? Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanx. |
I'm not sure what 19T motor you're running, but if you're running a Reedy or C2, you're final ratio is way too high. I run my Reedy between 5.8 and 6.0. The C2 I run between 5.9 and 6.3. I should say that I do run on open tracks.

Hi Guys,
Any suggestion to remedy a few stripped diff case screws (top)? Cos if I hit something, the screws would pop/open case as a result..... Thanks :) |
I have some of those, but the screws don't come out, at least, last time I checked.. What happened? Tightened them too much? Mine were already stripped when I got it.. :( I wonder if putting CA Glue in it would work... it could bond to the plastic and create the threads out of glue, as a temporary fix it COULD work... don't know if it WILL.....

Buy 5/40 screws. They are a little larger, and use the same 3/32" driver. You will have to drill out the top holes of the diff case so the screw will be loose in it.

How many of you guys are using the direct bolt-on parts of the TC 4 on your TC 3. I´m talking about shock towers, main shaft, and the chassis stiffeners with the upper link mounts ?

Hi
The CA worked temporary as for now, holding the diff case nice and tight....... another issue to solve though..car is too loud! :) Do you put any lube to your gears ? Thanks ! :) |
