3.5mm Offset Upright (53259) is quite handy too. Get some bigger pinions if you run the formula motors and spare spurs.

So I should be looking at:-
1) Alu motor housing
2) Soft T-Bar (Tamiya?)
Anything else?
Tires: Type A - Carpet while Type B - Asphalt?
Stock c/w kit: Type A?
Formula Tune motor? That's the major problem..... very slow.... was hoping for brushless 18t perhaps. Any news on LiPos for TAC?

Type A are soft, Type B are harder. In SG we run Type A for the fronts and rear. In Thailand I ran Type A rear, Type B front. The fastest 104 in Thailand was i think a Korean, he ran Type B rear and Type A front.
Kit comes with Type A
Actually on carpet the FT quite fast leh.
Din hear anything about Lipos.

For more rear grip, probably the new FRP upper deck (on the F60) might help a little bit on the F104 Pro with a little more flex. Maybe just go FRP for both top and bottom decks for asphalt. On the F103 I used to removed the nuts on the front of the upper deck to allow for more flex (or just used the shorter top deck). I was hoping this could be done with the F104 but it seems the front posts are used for support. I noticed the electronics platforms are mounted diagonally. Has anyone noticed any difference in side to side flex?
Tamiya is going in the right direction with the F60 kit with speed control. That is a true spec racer to allow beginners into the hobby pretty cheap and then allow them to hop it up over time.

i got mine Saturday and put it together Saturday night...
I just need to paint the body..
I'll do something simple for the F1 race this weekend, but I'm getting the F60 bodywork when it's released...
the only problem us that EVERYone will have a Ferrari once that bodywork is out

TAMIYA should produce more bodies for the F104, just like they did back in the day with their F101, F102 and F103. Mr. Vyger did the right thing by collecting them all.
