Any idea when that, or more importantly, the parts like the rubber tires and 2009 spec wings will be available?

Looks like the ESC was a quiet introduction. Found it on a couple of online shops - probably the main difference is LiPo cutoff support. Various claims on 23T-25T capability, but can't see anything official on Tamiya sites.

The only difference in the TEU-101BK and the TEU-104BK is a lipo cutoff built in. The price will be much less than the F104 Pro is, even with the 104BK included.

Actually... There are places that are pre-ordering the new 104 for $202... And I can get the 104pro for $204.... So I wouldn't say MUCH less

I originally wanted to run softer springs but as InZane suggested, these are hard to come by. I thought I had some silver springs from the HPI Pro 2 but couldn't find them. I also have a set of Eagle Racing springs from many years ago but I think they are at my parent's place which is 1000km away... So the obvious decision was to try it without the spring. It might sound weird but what have you got to lose?

InZane, have you had a chance to try this? I'm curious to see how you found it.

Oortael, I have had some success by running the shock without a spring. I think it will work well for you especially on a bumpy surface.

I don't think this will be too different to the 3Racing ones. What the car needs is softer rear up-travel and not softer roll. I'd like to see some different T-bar designs not just the same design in a softer material.

Nothing really breaks, just expect a dump truck with the box stock setup. May not be a bad thing @ mimis though, considering the bumps

Finally I've decided to get the F104 pro for my own birthday present!!!

So what sort of hops up and spares should I get? How about tires? Is the stocks ones gd enough?

You should definitely try the softer t-bar. This helped me a lot. Especially if your driving skills are far away from perfekt.

The basic hop ups from Tamiya is good enough. Just stock up on tires if you are running on asphalt.

Tamiya have A tires which are softer and B tires which are harder.

Next year our loacl TAC i heard they run only 104 and Formula Tune motor.

Do you mean the the original onroad tuned springs - 53163? I'm guessing that "ProMod" references the DJ Pro Module suspension. Note fine print of the bottom of this page http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...roduct-id=1004.

Damn I used to have these from my TA02... They are still pretty easy to find online though.
