Thanks for any suggestions.
Running two gear diffs is dependent on track conditions. When grip was low on the asphalt, I liked the dual gear diffs with 100k front and 10k rear. When the grip came up, the spool worked better with improved lap times. Inside on the carpet now and I'm running 80k in the front gear diff and a ball diff in the rear. The car is very good, so I haven't tried to play with the rear gear diff in awhile.

If you're using the stock Photon drivetrain, you will need the Xray c-hubs, Xray bushings and a 1mm shim on top of the steering knuckle.

Glad you had a good time at the Nats.

Hows the new chassis running? How many classes did you run? I could have loaned you my 13.5 boss.
Planned to run 2 classes. Had a few issues Friday during practice and decided to just race my new car in 17.5. It was a tight, technical track.

I love my new car.

I think my old car is going to become a VTA/"GT2" car now.

Yesterday we had a lot of successful runs with the new Side Piece Racing Mira Outdrives at Horsham. Myself, Larry, The GOAT, and Ralph Morella all ran them in our Photons. There was a mixture of 50mm and 52mm ECS shafts all successfully being run.

I know a lot of you are having trouble finding the XRay ECS shafts as they appear to be out of stock at RCAmerica. I've had some luck getting them from Hong Kong-- and rcmarket has them at VERY good prices, althought they are out of stock now.

I like running front gear diff rear ball diff on carpet, I am using the spec-r BD5 ones though with ofna diff locker, its almost spool like, but turns in better. For me I find that its easier to correct your line than with a spool, but I will counter that by saying that I have driven cars with spools that handle better than mine does. (Hanulec's with his side peice racing gear) I don't find a need for ECS driveshafts with a front diff too.

I'm pretty sure it's a TOP prototype narrow chassis.

I could be wrong though.

I needed some repair parts for the starting season here, so I ordered two of the upro diffs, I forget what oil weight comes in them though?, I figured I'd buy some oil with the order, so got some 10000 and 100000, I figure an ok start point for a medium bumpy low traction fast open asphalt track?.

Hoping from what I have read they will hold up well, it's going to be either of 10.5 no timing, 17.5 open or 17.5 fixed, no mod for me.

So far so good for me, I have noticed I break a bunch of steering knuckles. Could be driver error though....
